Our story
The Fellowship of the Leaf began with three founders, an inaugural circle of eight members, and a shared belief: some conversations deserve more time than the world usually gives them.

The beginning
On July 30, 2026, the first circle gathered in Big Bear City for its first official evening together. Cigars were cut. Glasses were raised. The phones could wait.
What began as a night among friends became a ritual worth keeping—a place for conversation without hurry, fellowship without performance, and the appreciation of craft in all its forms.
What the coin means
Every element of the Fellowship coin has purpose. Eight leaves represent the first members. The full moon and mountain water call back to Big Bear. The shared glasses mark hospitality. The cigars mark patience. The rope edge closes the circle.
The reverse carries the FTL monogram and the words In Fumo Fratres—“Brothers in Smoke.” Not because smoke makes the brotherhood, but because it creates the pause in which brotherhood can grow.
Our measure
Taste matters. Character matters more. These are the standards we bring to every gathering and every review.
Arrive fully. The best conversations rarely happen while checking a screen.
Share the bottle, pass the cutter, offer the better chair, and bring enough for one more.
Appreciate quality without making a performance of it. Know what is good and why.
Our circle
The founders gave the Fellowship its shape; the first members formed its original circle.
